We are excited to welcome our new school administrator and his family to Cleveland, TN. For the last several years, Isaac Davis has been serving as the Assistant to the President at Golden State Baptist College in Santa Clara, CA. He has also been teaching in the college and working in the Music Department at North Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Jack Trieber. We are thrilled to have him, his wife, Noemi, and their son, Isaac.

The Principles That Compel Us To Have A Christian School

1.) Children are a precious gift from God.
Psalm 127:3

2.) Children are to be trained to serve God.
Psalm 127:4, Proverbs 22:6

3.) Parents are entrusted with the training of their children.
Ephesians 6:4, Deuteronomy 6:6-9

4.) Parents will be held accountable for the training of their children.
I Samuel 3:12-13, Luke 12:48

5.) Parents, when necessary, can recruit the help of others to help train their children, but that does not resolve their responsibility and accountability.
I Samuel 3:13
• You may delegate the action of training your children, but you can not delegate the accountability of training your children.
• God will hold YOU accountable for the training of YOUR children.
6.) Who, then, can parents recruit to help with the training of their children?
There are 3 institutions ordained by God in the Bible. Each of these 3 train children, but are they Biblically responsible to help parents train children?
• Home
• Government
Ordained in the Old Testament, Genesis 9:6
Described in the New Testament, Romans 13:1-7 • Church
Has the Home been used in the training of children? Yes!
That is where the responsibility lies.

Has the Government been used in Scripture to train children? No!
According to Romans 13:3-5, the Government has 2 Primary roles:
• Protect from Harm
• Punish those who do Harm
The phrase "teach them" is found many times in Scripture. None of them refer to government. God NEVER intended the government to train children.
The government (public) educational system is hostile toward Bible-believing Christianity, Proverbs 22:6. • It rejects God's Word as TRUTH
• It rejects God's Word to be Taught
• It rejects the presence of open prayer in Jesus' name
• It rejects the Biblical account of Creation.
• It promotes humanism and evolution.
• It pushes humanism.
Government education attacks a Christian's world view.

Christ-o-centric
• God's Word is Supreme
• God alone is truth and all truth is found in God
• Truth is fixed

Humanistic
• Man's Reason is Supreme
• Man can find his own truth
• Truth is fluid
When the world view is corrupted, all that is produced is corrupted.

What should our response be to this corrupted form of government education?
Proverbs 19:27, Psalm 1

What about the 3rd institution, The Church?

Allowing the church to teach and train your children is a Biblical option.
• Because It upholds Truth
• Because It promotes Truth
• Because It compliments your home, and doesn't compete against your home.

Home, Church & School are all going the same direction.
• Because every child's education should be Bible-based
Ephesians 6:4 • Because every child's influence should be Christ-like
Proverbs 13:20, I Corinthians 15:13, Luke 6:39-40 • Because every child's education should give wisdom
Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 9:10
If a Parent is going to delegate the partial training of their children, it would be best to delegate it to your local New Testament church that teaches the TRUTH!
